    Day 1

    Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

    Days 2-3

    Ho Chi Minh City

    Visit Reunification Palace

    Explore Reunification Palace, surrounded by a lush garden and filled with antiques and décor from the 1970s. It was here that the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates with two tanks in 1975, which you can still see on the grounds, signifying the end of the Vietnam War.

    Walking Tour of Ho Chi Minh City

    Walk the streets of Ho Chi Minh City for a perfect introduction to this busy and bustling city. You’ll visit famous colonial sites like the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, and City Hall. There is no better way to get a feel for the city than walking its streets and learning its history!

    Explore the Mekong Delta

    Explore the jungle of the Mekong Delta, one of the most fertile regions in Vietnam! You’ll explore by boat to visit small workshops, quaint villages and an organic fruit farm all while meeting the locals who live in the area.

    Traditional Mekong Delta Lunch

    Enjoy a traditional and delicious lunch in a small local restaurant consisting of food and dishes that are only found in the Mekong Delta. In the afternoon you will get back on the sampan for some leisure time along the narrow canals.

    Travel Back to Ho Chi Minh City

    Depart the Mekong Delta and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Nighttime Motorbike Food Tour

    Spend a night doing what many people can only dream of — exploring the food scene of Ho Chi Minh City on the back of a motorbike. You’ll sample snacks at food stalls, have dinner at a traditional bia hoi and hang out in Vietnamese style coffee shops. This is the perfect family vacation night!

    Days 4-5

    Hoi An

    Sunset Basket Boat Cruise

    In a traditional basket boat you’ll float through the serene Hoi An countryside, passing by water coconut palm plantations, as the setting sun turns the sky shades of purple, orange and pink.

    Visit Tra Que Organic Village

    Walk through the tranquil organic gardens of Tra Que where you’ll pick fresh saw-tooth coriander and Vietnamese mint. You’ll also visit the local village market to pick up some other local ingredients from star anise and cardamom to sesame rice paper, water spinach and banana flower.

    Red Bridge Cooking School

    With fresh and local ingredients you’ll prepare four traditional and delectable Vietnamese dishes under the guidance of the head chef at the Red Bridge Cooking School. You’ll learn to prepare beef noodle soup (Pho), clay pot fish with fresh dill (Cha Ca), lemongrass shrimp grilled in banana leaves (Tom Nuong La Chuoi) and grilled chicken and banana flower salad (Goi Hoa Chuoi Ga Nuong). Then, you get to eat your delicious creations!

    Days 6-8


    Water Puppet Experience

    Meet seventh-generation puppet master Mr. Liem at his house for an exciting afternoon of storytelling. You’ll watch a demonstration in his home-built puppet theater, followed by a performance that depicts lively scenes of ancient and modern life.

    Scavenger Hunt

    You will travel around the ancient town of Hoi An looking for different items to be collected and photographed on a fun scavenger hunt.

    Temple of Literature

    Walk the grounds of the Temple of Literature; a complex comprising of five gorgeous courtyards, the country’s first established university, and buildings that preserve the architectural style of several different dynasties.

    Street Food Tour

    Hit the streets of Hanoi to experience some of the best, most flavorful and mouth-watering cuisine in the world! With the help of a local food expert you’ll stop at a sidewalk café and eat Pho Cuon and several other snacks on your food trail!

    Friends Across Borders Visit

    Watch as your kids meet Vietnamese children and their pen pals for a cultural connection! This is one of the most special parts of travel, being able to see kids play Vietnamese games together, do arts and crafts, and become friends despite cultural and linguistic boundaries.

    Cycle Through Northern Vietnam Countryside

    Cycle through the countryside of Northern Vietnam, leaving the busy city streets of Hanoi behind! You’ll pass by small pagodas, temples and traditional houses that are all quintessentially northern Vietnamese.

    Days 9-10

    Ha Long Bay

    Explore Trung Trung Cave

    Travel by bus to Cat Ba Island, located in the middle of Cat Ba National Park. Trung Trung Cave measures 300 meters lengthwise through the mountains. Follow a limestone passageway into the cave and marvel at the numerous stalagmites and stalactites created naturally over 2,000 years.

    See Da Chong

    Proceed to Da Chong islet and see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Pass the islets of Con Vit and marvel at the amazing limestone karst formations rising up out of the sea.

    Enjoy Optional Onboard Activities

    Activities offered vary nightly. Options may include cooking demonstrations, night squid fishing, and movies shown in the restaurant. Massages are available onboard for an additional charge, speak with Cruise Manager to book directly.

    Bike and Explore Viet Hai Village

    Transfer to the day boat and visit Viet Hai. Bicycle along the village path and through rainforests and dark tunnels. Pass scenic rice fields, explore an ancient local house made from straw, mud and bamboo, and experience how life is for locals.

    Morning Tai Chi Lesson

    Enjoy a Tai Chi lesson with tea and coffee on the sundeck!

    Kayaking in Ao Ech

    Discover the bay up close as you kayak in Ao Ech.
