Safety: Our Number 1 Priority

“Is it safe to go there?” That’s one of the most common questions we get from parents searching for that perfect family vacation, and rightfully so. This is a question we take very seriously. Many of the countries that we help families explore each have their own unique problems. No country is immune from this, including the U.S. But often, these problems are isolated and easy to avoid. They shouldn’t stop travelers from visiting these destinations and learning as much about them as they can.

One of the ways that we make sure our trips will be safe is by teaming up with trusted partners on the ground. For every destination we travel to we are in constant contact with our local teams. Our office is constantly monitoring the U.S. State Department’s travel advisories and if anything happens that would make us question the safety on the ground in another country we reach out to our teams on the ground to get a better understanding of what is going on. We regularly send representatives from our U.S. office to our destinations to get a fresh feel on whether a destination is safe for families to travel to.

On all our trips we use experienced, local, and thoughtful guides that stay with you from start to finish. This is a great way to make sure you don’t get into any sticky situations (unless it’s a plate of sticky rice in Japan!). Our guides know how to communicate with locals because they themselves are locals. They will always keep your family away from unsafe areas, if there are any. We only stay in hotels that take safety and security as seriously as we do. We also only pick activities and excursions that clear our safety standards.

Whenever you leave your house there is always some level of risk. We do our best to minimize this risk and safety will always be our number one priority. We would never operate a trip that we wouldn’t feel perfectly safe being on with our own families.

We believe that traveling as a family allows both kids and adults a unique opportunity to learn about the world and others living in it! These family adventures should be safe, fun, educational, and exciting. We do our best to make sure every family experiences those when traveling with us!
